Learn to make an awesome roast dinner: check
So 'awesome' may be a slight stretch of the truth. My brother and I decided that it would be fun to make the Christmas dinner this year- turkey and all... Turns out we saved the poor thing just in time from literally tasting of charcoal! Still, I can only get better, right??
:)
Make a Christmas decoration: check
A photo will shortly follow this announcement, seeing as my artistic efforts are truly laughable...
HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

Write a poem: check
I contributed to writing one for our final drama performance. The theme is depression, suicide, etc...
There was once an old spinster named Brenda Mcfee,
who sat on her arse all day drinking tea.
The stains on her teeth and her long fluffy hair,
made her confidence sink right down to despair.
It's a sad story, she was left at the alter you see,
now the only man she talks to is from Asda's home delivery,
but she still writes to all her friends from school
about her fake 'family' and how they're so cool!
Now today is the day that she's had enough;
she's turned to the fags, the booze- all that stuff.
She puts on her lippy and combs through that hair,
then SMASHES her face into that old wooden chair!
She's dead on the floor, her soul has expired.
Not to mention her face that has gruesomely retired.
Pleasant... I know.

Get a picture with Donald Duck at Disneyland: check
I stalked the poor dude all day! And now have a soft bruise on my cheek from where i crushed my head into his surprisingly hard beak when I hugged him.
Disneyland was awesome as ever, for those who care. This year we went for halloween and FUCK WAS IT SCARY! Not Disney... Universal! The park hosts this thing called 'Horror Night' (I really should have taken more notice to the title looking back on it...) and basically sets up all kinds of haunted houses and plagues the park with scare actors. Seriously: there's no where to escape!!!
Eat at the rainforest cafe: check
Yummm :)
Is it just me who loves joining in and screaming when it thunder storms in there?
Eat my favourite desert at Bubba Gumps: kindaaa check
Well, I didn't have my 'favourite' cookie crumble desert there. Instead..... I had Cinnamon bread pudding, and OH MYYY it was gooooooood! :D
Go to the circus: check
Circ De Soleil!!! Was Awesome! All 4 I managed to do whilst in America which just goes to prove how much better it is there than England :) But yeah... If you ever EVER get the chance to go and see it: GO GO GO! I personally wasn't too excited- in fact, it was only when I got home that I realised it had fulfilled a task on my list- but it was just incredible. Everything from the music and singing, to the costumes, and then of course the inhuman abilities, was just... just... wow :)

Attend a water aerobics class: check
It's been a while since I've blogged purely because UCAS is a time-consuming whore. Water Aerobics.... was an experience! Me and Miss Sam Shelley (who is starting to become my regular accompaniment to all set tasks) spent a nice long hour jumping up and down with a bunch of - to be blunt - old ladies to classic 80's disco tunes.
'Twas a raving Monday evening :)

Learn to roller blade: check
So I'm not an expert yet - but I've pretty much managed the basics; stopping, turning, going-down-a-hill-and-not-managing-to-fall-on-my-arse...
I'd really like to incorporate blading into possibly a sponsored marathon for charity... anyone have any idea how, or even if, can do this?

We did these quite a while ago -and it was one of the best days of my summer! Who knew so many people are open to random hugs?
It was very happy news :)

Keep a dream diary for a month: check
A month has gone soooo fast!!! That means I really should be getting a move on with the 90 more challenges to go...
onebumpus2.blogspot.com
That's where my dream diary exists (I couldn't think of a better name for it!). Please take time to read it, because some of the entry's are pretty insane... and you should all also try making one yourselves -it's quite therapeutic actually!

Eat a whole cake: check
This happened by accident!
I made the MOST delicious rocky road, made of maltesers, digestives, dairy milk and mini marshmallows. One bite and my willpower crumbled to pieces... but it was soooo worth it!

Tom
So this is an example of a must-be-blogged-about moment. Tom hole (aka bumhole) is off to uni today. Even though you probably won't read this Tom, I want to say how much I'll miss you! I've only known you for a year but in that time we've become really close, and tbh I don't know where I would've ended up without you. Good luck with everything babes -you deserve greatness!

Get an A grade at A level: check
A IN DRAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, I was so beyond pleased and utterly shocked that I cried! Completely unexpected after what happened last year... I tried to take a photo of the grade for it to be evidence, but my camera wouldn't zoom in that close, so I guess I'll just end up framing it instead! Sounds silly, but if you knew how much i wanted and needed this, you'd understand.
So: Woo.
:)
The rest of my results were also pretty pleasing. Obviously they weren't Oxbridge standard but who gives a jnngusaig. I got a B in psychology (again very shocking, and a tad bit annoying because I was hoping to drop the subject), a C in History (one mark-ONE MARK-off a B!), and a C in English ( disappointing, but it won't hinder me in my quest to produce a best-seller never fear!).
Oh, and I failed General Studies. Shame...

Liquid diet for the day: check
Admittedly, I took on this challenge when I knew I was going to be boozing in the evening (an awesome night I must say!). That day I had a diet coke, soup, shit loads of water and a milkshake. Some people disagree with a milkshake being part of a liquid diet, saying how its 'ice cream'. I say 'pah'. If I can suck it through a straw: it's a drink!
To be honest, living on just liquid proved to be easier than I thought. Might do it again.
Explore a place I've never been before: check
I completely forgot! Turkey!
Ahhh... turkey...

An update on the challenges I have started but have not yet completed (in other words, trying to keep the blog alive).
Learn to roller blade:
Almost check. About a week ago I brought a pair and have been practising every morning. No amount of bruises on my arse will stop me from getting 'good'.
:)
Get good at Guitar Hero:
I actually began the impossible task today, with game-freak Teddy guiding me (I love you really). It's strange that I'm not better at it, considering the many years I played a guitar itself. No, instead I'm pretty laughable. Teddy's patience really is one of a saint's!
Read all the LOTR books:
Started in Turkey, I managed to read The Hobbit and most of The Fellowship of the ring. And then I got home and had a LOTR film marathon and totally spoiled the ending.
Keep a dream diary for a month:
Starts tomorrow. Or tonight, depending how you look at it. I'll be making the dreams public and putting them on blogspot under a different blog, so look out for it on my profile! My idea of a dream diary actually came from drama, when our teacher asked us to keep one as a method for coming up with plots and characters. A pretty cool idea if you ask me...
Now, alot of people say that there's nothing interesting in hearing someone drown on about their dreams. I think bullshit. They're fascinating! They come from a part of your mind that we can never truly understand, no matter how much research. The possiblitlies of what they could ever mean or intend are endless, which I personally find quite scary.
Dream's are cool...

Go paragliding: check
So I'm back from holiday, and after a week of meaning to put up photo's i still haven't - that's my time keeping for you! They will be up soon though, and trust me- they are worth looking at if you've had a bad day. Turkey was amazing and extremely hot for those of you living in a cardboard box, but, unlike any normal person, my skin didn't react one bit and I remain an albino. I didn't even burn...
Paragliding. Was. Awful. Keep in mind that I have a deadly fear of water (hence a great obstacle in enjoying beautiful views and buckets of adrenaline), and that Turkish men are mean. Seriously, if I say don't drop me in the water - DON'T DROP ME IN THE WATER!
I can't say I'm not glad I didn't do it. In fact I felt really good after, like I was invincible after overcoming a massive fear.
Still, never again.
Eat a whole chicken: check
Again the pictures are delayed, but I didn't want to put off blogging any more because before you know it I would have forgotten.
A whole chicken!
I could have had a dessert if I'm honest...

Give up chocolate for a week: check
I did it! Sunday to Sunday- without a single whiff! The thing is, now the taste's completely out of my system: I don't even want it. Crazy...
This week I'll be soaking up the rays in Turkey. But do not fear- the list will still be fulfilled, as my aim is to complete at least one challenge every week (depending on the size of it, really). So, can anyone guess what could possibly be next?

Start a blog: check
Today is the day I begin documenting every step I take towards becoming 18, and there's no better way to do so than blogging! Aside from the rare, CANNOT-NOT-BE-BLOGGED-ABOUT incidents, the sole purpose of this blog is to motivate me in completing something extremely important to me; it isn't to go into the tiniest details of my day and my thoughts- I have a brain for that. So, anyone who wants to follow me- or even join me!- awesome... If not, hi to myself in 70 years time: the only ever reader of onebumpus' blog!
Dance in a storm: check
It was so fun! Me and Sam were sitting in her conservatory, calmly listening to the rain splattering on it's roof, in our pj's, when suddenly we thought- you know what? This is an opportunity- let's get wet!
Obviously we had to go back in before the rain destroyed the camera...
